Hypertension
Hypertension, commonly known as high blood pressure, is a condition in which pressure inside the blood vessels are persistently high and your heart has to continuously bear extra workload. It is often referred to as a "silent killer" because it can exist without noticeable symptoms, yet it significantly increases the risk of serious health problems such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure. Several factors contribute to the development of hypertension, including genetics, age, and lifestyle choices.
